Select Specialty Products was founded by the Housdan family in 1983. They began the company with a few product samples, excellent knowledge of their industry and an absolute determination to succeed. Not only did they have a deep understanding of both the chemical industry and the products they wanted to sell, but they also understood that customer loyalty was the key to a thriving business. Dennis and Stephanie knew that if they could deliver quality products that served their customers’ needs and deliver them in a timely manner that their first customers would become long-term customers. With this in mind, they began the challenging task of founding a successful business.
Select strives to keep pace with the need for alternative solutions to traditional problems. We were one of the first companies to market natural solvents and degreasers. The rest of the industrial sanitary supply industry didn’t catch on until 1988! Select was also one of the first companies to explore enzymes as a means of mitigating industrial and biological waste. We have since extended that concept to include powders, liquids and combinations thereof intended for specialized tasks.
